Purpose and calculation limits
PhaseGauge.com operates PhaseGauge, which provides water and steam property calculations, reference tables, and thermodynamic diagrams to assist engineering analysis and learning. It does not provide engineering certification or determine whether equipment, a design, or an operating procedure complies with applicable requirements.
Calculations apply only within the supported input ranges and the validity ranges of the underlying equations. Read the methodology and verification for calculation boundaries and verification coverage. Published reference checks do not establish accuracy for every input or use.
Independent verification before engineering use
You are responsible for checking input values, units, pressure reference, and physical state conditions, and for independently verifying results before using them in engineering decisions. Display precision does not establish calculation accuracy or the accuracy of your measurements.
Review equipment limits, applicable codes and standards, and required safety factors with appropriately qualified professionals. Do not use PhaseGauge as the sole basis for decisions that could cause injury, property damage, or environmental harm.
No warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PhaseGauge is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Error-free calculations, uninterrupted availability, and correction of every defect are not guaranteed.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PhaseGauge.com excludes liability for losses arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on PhaseGauge or its results, including loss of data, revenue, or profit, business interruption, and indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or affects mandatory rights you have under applicable law. These exclusions and limitations apply only where and to the extent that law permits them.
Saved data and sharing
Browser storage is not a backup. Keep exported copies of calculations you need to retain. Clearing site data, browser policies, or storage failures may remove saved records. Check exported files before relying on them as your record.
Shared calculation and full diagram links contain state parameters in their URLs. Consider whether those values are sensitive before opening or sharing a link. The privacy page explains browser storage, shared links, hosting requests, and traffic measurement.
Changes and versions
PhaseGauge's calculation engine, supported ranges, and features may change between versions. Keep the app and engine versions with calculations used in your work, and recheck results when changing versions.
